Basketball player Drilon Hajrizi announced the 2023 athlete of the year in Mitrovica

Last night, the Directorate for Culture, Youth and Sports held the ceremony for announcing sports clubs and the best athlete for 2023.

The vice-mayor of the municipality was present at this ceremony, Mr. Arian Tahiri, directors of municipal directorates, representatives of FSK, representatives of Kosovo Police, representatives of KFOR, Veterans of KLA, sports fans, sports workers, as well as representatives of sports clubs and athletes who were announced the best for 2023.

In his speech, the deputy mayor, Mr. Arian Tahiri, after greeting the attendees, said that he feels privileged to be among the athletes, for whom he expressed the highest gratitude for their contribution to raising the epithet of Mitrovica as a city of culture, art and sports.

“It is to be praised the work of each club and athlete who are contributing to the city of Mitrovica. “Never since the post-war have sporting clubs been supported as in the two years of our governance, we are committed to continue supporting the upliftment and advancement of sport in the city,” Vice President Tahiri said.

The vice president of the country Tahiri has also thanked the biggest Kosovar fan “Torcida”, who with their support inspire sporting life in the city of Mitrovica.

Professional jury, athlete of 2023 announced Drilon Hajrizi, basketball player in the K club. B “Trepça”, while the “Lah Nimani” prize is awarded to the footballer and the renowned donor, Ferki Hajra, while the sports club of 2023 was announced the basketball club “Trepça”.

At this jubilee celebration, special acknowledgments have been given to many personalities who have contributed over the years to the development of sport in Mitrovica.
